Walker or Cane: What’s the difference?
Canes and walkers are both used to help with walking and balance. But what’s the difference?
A cane can support up to 25% of your weight and is used for mild balance problems such as a foot or leg injury. The balance problems are usually only on side.
A walker can support up to half of your weight and is used for medium to bad balance. Weakness is usually on both sides. Walkers can also be equipped with a seat and brakes.
